Red Octopus Movement and Visual Arts creates bespoke projects in mainstream, special needs schools and nurseries. We use sensory performing arts to inspire and stimulate young people in their educational environment.

For children with complex needs, Red Octopus Movement and Visual Arts creates performance workshops that enhance their sensory stimulation and ensure active participation in the session.

Past Projects:

  • See Hear Touch
A tour of festivals and community events in London and throughout the country where people experienced our sensory bell tent along with a vast programme of workshops, 2010.
  • Introduction to the Arts
A programme of visits to arts venues designed to develop an appreciation of the arts in young people – Northwest 2008.
  • Under the Rainbow
A nationwide Sensory Performance Tour for Schools and Nurseries, 2008.
"I think the project has been phenomenal. What the class has really learnt to do is create"
Flora Small, Teacher, Palmerston High School, Liverpool
"I looked at the children’s faces during circle time and they were so engaged with you. You really got them involved and thinking for themselves. Our Speech Therapist said the children were getting so much from the session and those who are usually withdrawn were taking a very active part and laughing and enjoying the music and movement"
Lori Lee, Pre-school manager, St Peters Pre-School, London
